Golden September and Silver October', Inbound Tourism in Beijing Ushered in a Small Peak

Starting from late September, inbound tourism in Beijing ushered in a small peak. From January to September, Beijing received a total of 2.719 million inbound tourists, a year-on-year increase of 207.8% and recovering to 82.0% of that in 2019; realized tourism foreign exchange earnings of 3.41 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 168.5% and recovering to 74.7% of that in 2019. Among them, September reached the peak since the beginning of the year, with 384,000 person-times. The "individualized" tendency of inbound tourism is obvious. The proportion of independent travel and customized tours has increased. The tourism methods of foreign tourists have changed to in-depth experience tours. In addition to traditional scenic spots, high-tech experience projects such as visiting new energy automobile factories are also popular among foreign tourists. In addition, Beijing has launched innovative services such as "direct swiping" of overseas bank cards to take the subway. The visa-free policy is continuously relaxed, and the number of international flights is accelerating recovery. The small peak of inbound tourism may continue until November.
