CCTV Headquarters
The CCTV Headquarters Building is located in the core area of the Central Business District (CBD). Its total construction area is approximately 550,000 square meters, and the height of the tallest building reaches 234 meters, which looks quite spectacular among the surrounding buildings and is highly iconic.
This building was carefully designed by the world-famous architectural designers Rem Koolhaas and Ole Scheeren, leading the Office for Metropolitan Architecture. The design concept is novel and unique, demonstrating a high level of architectural art and attracting much attention in the global architectural field.
It mainly consists of the main building (commonly known as CCTV), the Television Culture Center (TVCC), the service building and the media park. Each part complements each other and cooperates with each other to jointly play corresponding functions, providing complete venues and facility support for the daily operation of the television station and the development of related cultural activities.
The functions of the building mainly focus on two major parts. One is the five-star hotel part, which can provide high-quality accommodation, catering, leisure and entertainment services for guests staying here. The other is the Television Culture Center part, which undertakes numerous activities related to television culture, such as the recording of various programs, cultural exhibitions and art exchanges, etc., playing a vital role in promoting the dissemination and development of television culture.
