Guangdelou
Guangdelou was built in the first year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (1796 AD). With a long passage of time, it has a very long and glorious history and occupies a unique position among many theaters in the capital city. It is one of the oldest existing theaters in Beijing.
Looking back on the past, it was truly a treasured place in the world of traditional Chinese opera. The founders of the opera industry and many famous actors gathered here in those days. They showed their talents to the fullest on this stage and quickly became famous with their wonderful performances, making their names known throughout the country. As time has passed, in the present day, Guangdelou still retains its charm and has become one of the most popular and crowded entertainment venues in the capital city, deeply loved and sought after by the public.
Nowadays, there is a different kind of splendor here. The performance teams of Deyun Society regularly perform in the Guangdelou Theater every week. When audiences come here, they can experience the unique charm of outstanding traditional Chinese culture in person and feel the cheerful atmosphere brought by the art of crosstalk on the spot.
