Miaofeng Mountain Scenic Spot
Miaofeng Mountain is a popular destination for people in the western suburbs of Beijing to offer incense and pray for good fortune. It is also a paradise for hiking and cycling enthusiasts. The main attractions are the Niangniang Temple, the Jade Emperor Summit and the main peak summit, all of which are located in the Golden Summit area.
The general visiting order is from the Niangniang Temple to the Jade Emperor Summit, then to the main peak, and finally back to the Huixiang Pavilion. This is also the standard order for offering incense in Taoist temples.
Every April in the lunar calendar, there will be hundreds of traditional performances at the Niangniang Temple on the mountaintop, and activities such as distributing porridge, offering tea and giving out steamed buns will also be held.
When autumn comes, the mountains are covered with colorful red leaves. The best time to enjoy the red leaves on Miaofeng Mountain is from mid to late October to early November every year.
On the winding mountain road of Miaofeng Mountain, you will pass through the Rose Valley Scenic Area. Around May every year, you can enjoy and pick roses there.
