Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution
The Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution was planned and constructed in 1959. It is the only large-scale comprehensive military history museum in China and has an extraordinary status. It is one of the ten major buildings in the capital as a tribute to the 10th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
Its architectural style is magnificent, solemn and solemn, with an upright overall image and showing a majestic appearance. The central part of the museum is seven stories high, and the two sides are four stories high. On the top floor, a prominent military emblem is inlaid on the high spire, which is particularly eye-catching and highlights the unique temperament of the military museum.
The museum has a rich variety of exhibitions, with multiple themed exhibition halls. There is the Hall of the Agrarian Revolutionary War, which focuses on showing the magnificent history of the Agrarian Revolutionary struggle; the Hall of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, which bears the heroic memories of the whole nation's fight against the Japanese invaders; the Hall of the National Liberation War, which presents many important historical facts during the period of the Liberation War; the Hall of the War to Resist U.S. and Aid Korea, which commemorates the immortal feats of the Chinese People's Volunteer Army on the battlefield of the War to Resist U.S. and Aid Korea; and also the Hall of Ancient Wars, etc., leading people to travel through time and appreciate the development and changes in the military field in different historical periods.
