    The Mutianyu Great Wall is located within Huairou District and is one of the New Sixteen Scenes of Beijing. It holds significant geographical importance, connecting with the Juyongguan Great Wall in the west and Gubeikou in the east, thus forming a continuous and magnificent defense works system by linking different sections of the Great Wall.


  • Length and Architectural Features
    The Mutianyu Great Wall is approximately 5,400 meters long, making it the longest section of the Great Wall in China currently. The open section of the Great Wall is about 2,250 meters long, allowing tourists to closely experience the majestic appearance of the Great Wall. Among them, the architectural form of Zhengguantai is particularly unique, with three watchtowers standing side by side. This layout is quite rare in the architecture of the Great Wall, demonstrating a distinctive architectural style and reflecting the ingenious design of ancient military defense works.

     Famous Great Wall landscapes such as Jiankou, Niujiaobian, and Yingfeidaoyang are located at the western end of the Mutianyu Great Wall. These landscapes can be regarded as the essence of the Great Wall. The Jiankou Great Wall is renowned for its precipitous mountain terrain and unique architectural layout, winding like a giant dragon among the lofty mountains and ridges, giving people a strong visual impact. The Niujiaobian stands out for its unique shape resembling an ox horn, attracting numerous tourists to come and admire it. The Yingfeidaoyang is even more astonishing with its steep slopes and spectacular scenery, as if only eagles could soar here.

    The Mutianyu Great Wall also enjoys a relatively high reputation internationally.
