Song Art Museum

Song Art Museum is situated on the bank of Wenyu River in Shunyi District, Beijing, enjoying a favorable geographical location and a pleasant surrounding natural environment. It officially opened to the public in September 2017. Founded by Mr. Wang Zhongjun, the founder and chairman of Huayi Brothers, and with Ding Zehua as the curator, it is an art venue with significant influence and unique characteristics in the art field.

In terms of its architectural appearance, its predecessor was a horse farm, and after renovation, it has taken on a completely new look. The architect skillfully abandoned the complex elements of the original building and created an extremely simple overall style. With a large area of white walls as the base tone, black lines outline clear contours, supplemented by glass and wooden materials, giving a strong sense of texture. The 199 pine trees of various shapes meticulously arranged in the courtyard contrast with the building, as if telling the harmonious coexistence of nature and art, creating a quiet, ethereal and unique artistic atmosphere. Every visitor who steps here can quickly break away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world and immerse themselves in a pure art world.

Regarding the exhibition space, Song Art Museum has a grand scale, with a total area of more than 22,000 square meters and an indoor exhibition area of about 2,200 square meters. There are a total of 12 exhibition halls. These exhibition halls are spacious and have a reasonable layout, which can meet the needs of various types and scales of high-quality art exhibitions. In addition, in the east area, there are Hall No. 1 and Hall No. 2, each covering an area of 500 square meters, as well well as a series of complete supporting facilities such as art derivative spaces, public education sunrooms, event reception halls, and leisure cafes. Whether it is art enthusiasts who want to deeply appreciate art works or ordinary audiences who want to casually feel the artistic atmosphere, it can provide a rich and comfortable experience.

Actively cooperating with numerous well-known experts and scholars at home and abroad, it deeply carries out contemporary art research projects.
