The Pofengling Scenic Area in Zhoukoudian
Pofengling is about 52 kilometers away from the urban area of Beijing. It is located about 3 kilometers northwest of Huangshandian Village, Zhoukoudian Town, Fangshan District, southwest of Beijing, adjacent to the Yuxu Palace on Baojin Mountain in Beijing.
Since 2009, Pofengling has built a mountain road about 6 kilometers long on a barren mountain. All the materials used were local mountain stones, and the sand and cement were carried up the mountain entirely by manpower. It can be said that the mountain road today has come into being after going through countless hardships.
"Who waves this coloured ribbon in the sky among the red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet?" Compared with the red leaves on Xiangshan Mountain, the red leaves on Pofengling have their own unique charm.
